Yes, it has been warm one week then cold the next. We had some of the coldest weather in many years the beginning of January. I had 3 morning lows of 38ºF (3.3ºC) in a row and the 4th cold morning the low was 36ºF (2.2ºC) this the second coldest temperature I've ever recorded at my location. Some of my plants experience cold damage (not frost damage or freeze damage because I don't get frost or freezing temps here.), the problem with cold damage is that it shows up a week or two later on tropical plants. Overall, 99% of my plants are fine, though.

Thanks! :>)
I'm sorry to hear about the snow and bitterly cold winds, it must be horrible! I hope the temps moderate soon for you!
It's extremely rare that my tropical plants here in San Diego suffer from cold-damage. Although, it's only usually the tenderest plants which suffer.

Wow! Hopefully your plants will recover! We've had some unusually cold weather here in Southern California this year, also (of course, nothing this cold, though).
