DD no that's the miscanthanus that arundo is generally to left but I have cut it down to use the caines

Mushy what do you use the canes for and when is the best time to cut them down........what Miscanthus is that to grow so tall would it be the Elephant grass? sorry for so many questions.

No problem ask away,I use the canes for trellis for growing plants up loike runner beans clematis' etc as there a good 15 feet long you can cut them to any size.
You can cut them autum or early spring i normally do it in early spring but just did in autum this year.
