Where are all these lovely bird photos taken,K?

We are in highlands of Mexico right now Feverfew. Another month and we will be heading home to Vancouver Island on west coast of Canada. There , I'll be posting photos of robins, Juncos, jays, pinesiskins, crossbills and all the northern birds. But we do have hummingbirds on the Island as well, just different kinds.

Again, another beautiful hummingbird photo! :>)

I just discovered this morning a hummingbird has nested in my tropical guava (Psidium guajava) tree just outside my back door. The mama hummingbird was sitting in the nest. I'll have to get some photos without bothering her too much. :>)

Oh, that is precious. I have never seen hummingbird nest in a real life, only in pictures.

I remember years ago (in 1977) my father lived in Pasadena. We went to the Huntington Library and gardens for the first time...and there in the huge outdoor covered patio was huge hooks coming out of the ceiling with dozens of hummingbird's nest. It was the most incredible sight! I wish I had a digital camera back then! :>)

I will take some photos and post them tomorrow of the hummingbird which has been sitting in her nest for hours. She must have an egg or two.
