Remembering summer when our winter here is still not past is so enjoyable. This is in the 'pic about the garden' as I put off removing the front boxes and beginning the garden move. Icelandic poppies with lobelia.

I think lobelia is a slow grower as a seedling. And they like staying moist or the flowers shrivel though the plant can stand dry well enough. Try laying plastic wrap over the surface after watering in. Keep that to hurry sprouting and nurse the seedling until the first true leaves, that's a quick easy greenhouse for a needy sprout. :-) I think the time to sow them is now or soon.

This is very beautiful combination of flowers. For some reasons lobelias do not grow in my garden, I seeded them in two springs and nothing has grown. I suppose they need more humid air then I have in my garden.
