Hosta in bud

This picture is fantastic cause i just planted a Hosta which looks like this and its great to see what it might look like. \i read that slugs are partial to hostas - have you found this to be the case?

Yes slugs do love to munch on Hostas, I put baked crushed egg shells under the leaves as slugs find it difficult to manoever across them also when i've groomed the dog I use his fur. If I have tender plants in pots I find that a good wide ring of Vaseline or WD40 stops them crossing the barrier. I hope that this helps you with your budding Hosta.
