Yes, Royal Palms have such huge, majestic trunks. I love the long, large and shiny green crownshaft (the extension of the frond which surround the trunk), also!

I would think painting a Queen palm trunk white might be a neat idea.

Painting palm trunks white in the tropics is very common. It prevents the trunks from sunburning.
