Slad@I have three roots of Sarah Bernhardt, as it has beautiful display. But I have also few new ones, which didn´t bloom yet, so I am looking forward to them as well.
By the way, do you know that Sarah Bernhardt, suffering all her life by histrionic behaviour, slept in a coffin instead of the bed? I wonder, why this illuminating flower got name after so gloomy spirit.

Nice picture. I have several of these as well and looking forward to see them in the spring. Very popular peony where I live and rightly so.

My favourite peony - so beautiful :-) But you're right - it doesn't exactly chime with the image of the woman herself, who was the epitome of the tragic actress!
