Only seen a very small bush of this, in my mums garden in Devon! But I think the 'flowers' are much smaller on hers?

They can grow to be quite enormous.

Don't we know. Callistemon viminalis, which this is, can grow to 65ft (20m) or taller here in San Diego. It's a super messy tree.

My neighbor has a 30ft (10m) tall Callistemon citrinus which drops red stamens all over my back yard! It drives me nuts!!!
