Many of the Aeoniums have been flowering for a couple of months. There's an Aloe ferox above the Aeoniums...it had finished blooming, already. Photo taken Jan. 16, 2013.

Thanks! That's great your Aeoniums are blooming now. It's always a sign that spring has sprung. :>)

I hope the winter weather breaks soon, and you receive some nice, sunny spring weather!
Winter's has had it grip on most of the U.S., also. It's even freezing or close to it in many parts of Florida (which is extremely rare!).
We've been so lucky here in Southern California, as the weather has been so beautiful, warm and sunny! 70 -82ºF (21 -28ºC) for the last three weeks or so.

Wow! You're very motivated! In cold weather I could never be so motivated! When we had the rare cold snap back in early January, I just stayed inside and didn't do anything in the garden.

brambles are my target enemy at the moment....as thick as my thumb....the only way safe to get them is when i'm suited and booted with gloves so its great at this time of year..be too scary in summer clothes...lol
