Echinops Sphaerocephalus Arctic Glow

I can never remember the full name of this white Echinops (globe thistle) but I came across the label when I was looking for something in my potting shed just now.So I thought I'd put a picture up that I took last summer.I love this as you rarely see the white ones.The bees love it too!!

The is on my rockery which I made by adding lots of grit/sharp sand and topsoil Paul as I don't think it would like my heavy clay!!!
Tends to like poorer, light soils!!!

Ibuprofen gel will be more effective Shirley....but don't buy the brand name one...I can't afford that.get own brand!!!!

Some of the refs down our way recently could do with some ranges or ibuprofen, to loosen their joints so they could keep up with play Shirley...ha.ha.Usual footsie fan moaning about ref!!!!

I love these too, we have one growing down our lane, goodness knows how it got there but i love it:-) ive tried growing one in my garden but they dont like me:-(

They want very light soil,lSummerbreeze! I don't have that generally, I have heavy clay but this is on my rockery which I built up higher with Topsoil,Sharp Sand and grit!
