A small plant,but I thought in case I finish it off before it grows.Formally Helichrysum coralloides.

There's an easier one,Helichrysum selago,that's quite easy to get from garden centres.Some of the Helichrysums are very nice,but may need better protection than I have

That looks very interesting. I thought at first that it was cactus like but it is a half hardy shrub with yellow flowers. Is it very slow growing? I hope your pessimism is not justified.
