oh, that's gorgeous! and I bet the scent is wonderful. I got some "giant hyacinth" plants once - prob was that the flowers were too heavy for the stems and kept flopping over unless I propped them up.

did you proect the inside of the basket in any ay? line it or something to stop it getting damn and maybe rotting?

I have the same coloured ones just outside my front door, but they are going over now...in more ways than one!

Are yours actually more 'purple-y' than the camera shows? They look blue in my photo, and they're not.
