Very pretty Spritz - like the blue and pink colours together.

I fell for it at the Rare Plant Fair today!

I would have done also.....

I bought three pots and they're going round a little Prunus incisa I planted in the huge space recently. :-)) Not today though - it's soooooo cold!

And getting worse.....

Don't even 'think' that, Dd! Focus on the lighter evenings - not long now. :-D)

Very pretty Barbara , I have trouble getting rid of forget-me -nots in our garden they are like weeds and seed everywhere , I'm constantly hoeing them up they look pretty when they are in flower but then look very weedy when not ...

I agree Amy....

I have the same trouble, but they look so pretty I don't mind. I was told by the seller that 'My oh My' don't seed around - so watch this space!

That's lovely Barbara, I don't mind forget-me-nots seeding as they're easy to pull out if in the wrong plance and easy to remove once they start with the mildew and they add such delicate, airy prettiness to the spring/early summer garden. I'll be interested to see how this lovely one performs:-)

So will I, because it was sold as a 'perennial', but in the Sarah Raven catalogue, she's got itdown as a biennial. Mind you, she also says it's the best blue forget-me-not, but it isn't just 'blue' as you can see.

I give up trying to find out about plants, it seems to me it just depends who's giving the info. Always a case of 'suck it and see' only experience will tell. If it is biennial, what makes it different from all the others? Although, unless it's been brought on, it seems very early to me?:-)

I saw the seller at another plant fair yesterday and she says the ones in her garden have been there for three years, are definitely perennial, and the clumps have grown rather than seeding around. They do seem to be flowering early, but sellers bring them on, don't they - probably in polytunnels.

Ah well, I suppose we'll know soon enough:-) Do you know anything about R. Red Pierre de Ronsard (red Eden rose) ? I'm after a climber, large crimson reddish flower, more to the magenta side, not orangey scarlet that smells devine and flowers for ever on an east wall. Doesn't have to be very big:-) I have a list, been making it for a few weeks, but like I said, empirical knowledge best. Probably end up with a totally different colour lol:-)

I've seen the Eden Rose in an open garden, but it wasn't red - more pink.

I have a site called 'Rose Locator' on my laptop - take a look on there, and you can find lists of roses by colour or by height. It also lists stockists, and I find it very helpful.

Thanks , will do. The Eden rose is a pale pink with green and mauvish undertones, but there is a newer reddish one too:-)

The pink one must have been the one I saw - lots of people were stopping and asking the garden owner about it!

You'll like the rose site. I spend ages browsing through it. :-)))

I've had a look, but no red Eden, still... nice to look at everything. I can't tell you how desperate I'm getting, if only the snow and the freeze would go:-)

That's why it's lovely to browse and plan. It won't last for ever. <Optimist>
