It is quite spectacular! I love it, too! :>)
I should buy a few more, as they so cheap.

Interestingly, I was reading this afternoon a story about the Cyathea medullaris (black tree fern) . I would love to have one. Guy was growing it in Holland.... but build a protection for it.
I would love to have one, but I will never find it on Vancouver Island.(sigh)

Cyathea medullaris (black tree fern) is my favorite very large tree fern! They can grow to more than 50 ft (16m) tall here in California. It tolerates cool weather; however, it will not tolerate much cold. Several Black tree ferns were killed in the San Francisco Bay Area back in the horrible freeze of December of 1990 (the worst freeze ever recorded there).

Palmate
Lovely looking fern would they survive over here if brought in for the winter ?

Palmate,
I would guess it would grow indoors pretty well, during winter.

Yes, it's a very ornamental small tree fern. It's also very inexpensive and common. They should grow very well where you live.
