The flower heads on these plants gets over 3.5 feet wide. And since they self seed here, I have lots of these shade lovers, which take 2-3 years to flower.

I think this is for warmer gardens, and they get very large in the 2nd year - the leaves are great as accent foliage, but almost 12" across on stems 2 feet long. Last year I took seeds up to my woods and just threw them around, now they are growing very well. I'll have to do it again this year so I don't end up with flowers every other year.

Thanks - this is just one plant, and when it is finished, it will set seed and then die. But it produces so many new ones, they have to be thinned.

Since this is a shade plant, the colour is very bright.
