Another large leafed Geranium, not quite so tender as Maderense.

I put my three Tetrapanax 'Rex' in the ground yesterday DD, in the sunshine. This morning I had to go out and put lemonade bottle cloches over them, as I don't know what part of the country they were grown in, or even which country for that matter! I'm sure they will be fine though in their little greenhouses! Our weather is going to be freezing and wet all week ...bleugh!

Thanks Motty, that was brave of you K I have not put ours out yet, how large are they? they will not survive freezing temperatures if they are small!!.they will need more than bottles over them.....

Well, they are very small, only about 5" tall DD. I read that they are hardy down to -12C so I thought they'd be ok as long as I kept the frost off them?

5 inches K ? you are taking a risk, they will take -12 but that is for an established plant, ours must be 2 ft tall, and the leaves are about 12 ins across now....do you want them for impact? if so get em in the warm in some good compost and stand back!! lol
