mine are looking poorly too, think they might have given up the ghost and gone - really dry and broken only bits in the middle of some of them looking like they might survive. Think though it was the wind that did for them not the cold. One minute they were ok and then the wind blew and crumpled them all up.Bought some new ones in case. The ones in the hanging baskets are fine just the garden border ones which are looking poorly.

I agree with you Olive about the wind, thats just the same as mine. The middle bits should be ok. Might need taking up and planting deeper I think, and cut off all the old leaves. I think thats what I might do. Probably take all out of the heuchera bed, dig it all over and replant.

Thanks Cinders, was thinking that myself, have taken some of the dead out but am waiting to see if any of them start to recover. Everything seems to be slower than many other places across this eastern side of the country, but I suppose things will come out later and last longer. lol. if that makes sense. Only trouble is with spring flowers if it gets too hot they die off quickly. We are cloudy today and rain is forecast at some point this week which would help as everything looks so dry and shrivelled waiting for a drink. Deep down the ground is wet but some of the shallow rooted plants need a good drink I am loathed to drag out the hosepipe just yet.

I know what you mean about things drying out, I have watered a few pots, but most of the rest I am leaving them to it.
Apologies for pinching your post Moti. But I expect you are interested anyway.
I have also bought one or two new ones Olive, just in case.
