This is a very old tree which is in need of a good hair cut ....after the blooms are gone.
I have two other.... young ones . Interestingly the old one is in full bloom but the youngsters are not .

Our flower emblem here in British Columbia is dogwood but I would be happy with magnolia as well :-)
I have yellow saucer magnolia Elizabeth budding now.
It is also beautiful. But will have to wait few more weeks.

Magnolias are the towns emblem flower where I was born in Devon. They were first introduced into Britain via Exmouth docks. I have a yellow mag now in bud, last year frost polished off most of the flowers so this year fingers crossed for a better display.
