Ducks looking cold!

A pair have been coming for years in the Spring (probably 6 years or even more) and I can't believe they can be the same pair - how long do ducks live?
We get a lot on the river in the village, and the drakes do have different markings down the centre of their backs, but it is really difficult to pick out the subtle differences, so I couldn't identify 'ours' amongst all those!!

Nice pic. Did you know that birds have anti.freeze in their legs, well especially those that wade in water & penguins etc.

Wow - no didn't know that! I wonder what sort of antifreeze that is?! They sure don't mind the cold water!!
