This is a fantastic dwarf evergreen shrub just starting to flower (2 weeks late). Suitable for a rockery, it has pure blue star shaped flowers which will cover the shrub. It blooms solidly from mid April for about 2 months, and then more sporadically afterwards. Needs a sunny spot and prefers an acidic well-drained soil so advisable to treat this as an ericaceous plant. It is drought tolerant so needs little watering when established, but avoid using hard (limey) water.

Where I live (London) we have very hard water, but even so it's still possible to grow LD well. My first one quickly went black a few weeks after planting and died before I realised that it's a bit more fussy as to requirements.
Like your back garden. :-)
