We have lots of deers around Franny they like the tulips and love my roses.

wouldn't taking them indoors in a vase shrink your misery..?

It would Kaustubh . I do that with lots of my flowers.
But love to keep some in the landscape because they last only a couple of days in the vase, but look pretty for weeks in the garden. I am protecting parts of the garden with several motion activated sprinklers . I get hit by them more often then the deer :-)
