Thank you guys - the secret of the photo is the evening sun. Is it called a 'golden hour'? It is the only time of the day the sun reaches the 'Japanese corner' of my garden.

well - I took a pic 2 days ago... but still - the weather was better than the weather forecast was saying...

Hi Kasy, I am glad your Acer is growing well. I just wanted to solve that enigma of a warm colour, when you already answered it. But still, although reality is different (my leaves are now yelowish), the photo is excellent. As always.
