Spathodea campanulata - African Tulip Tree Flowers

My African Tulip tree has many flowers and many dozens of flower spikes. It should bloom until February of next year...as this tree has an unusually long flowering period (it started blooming on Apr 1). It's not typical for this tree to bloom so long here in San Diego, CA. Photo taken May 8, 2013.

Yes, it's young. However, it's around 10ft tall now. It started blooming from seed at only 9 months old. Here's a pic of its first bloom at only 2 1/2 ft tall.
