 Rosemary blooms

I cut them for the vase in the kitchen. I have 2 plants of this size and couple smaller ones.

I have rosemaries like this too. I love their smell in the morning and after the rain. Do you know, why it is called rosemary in English? (Rose Mary).

Katarina. this is from wiki:
The name "rosemary" derives from the Latin for "dew" (ros) and "sea" (marinus), or "dew of the sea", because in many locations, it needs no water other than the humidity carried by the sea breeze to live.

I know another version of its name origin, Klahanie. When Maria was on the run with a small Jesus, she found a large bush at the edge of the desert and used it as a shelter. They both slept under it. Since that time the bush was called Mary´s Rose (rosemary).

I like your story as well... but why rose? this plant does not resemble rose. I think I stick with the wikipedia explanation :-) Sorry.....
