Scotney Castle...Just Stunning!

Scotney Castle...Just Stunning!

What a wonderful place Scotney casle (National Trust) is to visit. The views from the house to the castle and on to the surrounding woodland are magnificent!

Imagine that! Ruin in your garden. Endless opportunities!

Yes, it's a slightly bigger garden than mine though!

But Paul...if your garden was this big, you would have no time to work! Sigh...one can but dream!

As it is Karen, I'm struggling to do mine and my customers' gardens...poor ol' devil!!

know the feeling. it took me ages today just to feed the pots and the roses. I used up all the tomorite and had to go and buy more! Honestly, it's not a cheap hobby is it?!

Erm...no, I didn't feed the roses with Tomorite, only my pots. I um'd and ah'd about what to use on the roses and eventually plumped for bone meal, so I could fork it in to stop the dog eating it! She had to go to the vet today with another bad tummy after eating lord knows what in the garden!

Oh dear, our Paddy used to do that..keep picking things up and eating them. Not been quite so bad recently, fingers crossed!
I would think bone meal best for roses! Spring and mid summer!

Thank you...will do it again in July then.....although, that could turn out to be autumn at this rate! I'm wondering whether I will get any roses this year. Last year the black spot was so appalling that I hard pruned them all in an attempt to get rid of it, but now with the cold they are hardly growing some of them. time will tell......

14 May, 2013

Wow, I hope this was not impolite...is age of man secret? No!

14 May, 2013

Oooooh, I like you Katarina ....ha ha!! no I'm not 26! I wish I was! My eldest son is 29 today(14th May) but my youngest son who bought the gift is 23......I am 54 .....not a secret(although, that avatar picture is nearly 2 yrs old!)

14 May, 2013

I am just few years younger, so we are almost contemporary. Nice sons. You are a glad man.
