Amy try this..5 small radish, 1 onion couple of small red chillis, 2 cloves of garlic, coriander, curry leaves (couple sprigs), tamarind (marble size piece)..
chop the onion finely, grate the radish, cut the chillis and crush the garlic..fry the onion, chillis and garlic for a few seconds, add the tamarind, coriander, curry leaves and fry for a few more seconds..remove and keep
fry the radish until its rawness goes (a minute or so)..let everything cool
once cool grind it into a course paste/chutney adding water to get consistency right..add mustard, urad dal, curry leaves and asafetida for seasoning great with Indian breads or on the side with rice

I never ate raddish in this style. I love raddish as simple prepared as possible. Either slices on a fresh bread with butter or prepared as a salad to meat (slices of raddish, lettuce, onion, lemon juice, olive oil, spoon of honey and spoon of balsamico).

mmmmm....breakfast radishes!...I like the little French ones with white roots! (and not too hot) Fantasic recipe, Skips... I like radish sandwiches too, Katarina! fresh homemade bread, sweet butter and radish sliced so thin that the slices are almost transparent!...mmmmmm....but the radishes in my garden are just cotyledon leaves at present....have a little while to go!

:) Lori, I am not native English speaker. What are French radishes? Did you mean this?
