Hiii. Is the little one I sent you. Looks well. I like the stage before this when they look like root ginger lol.

I have a real urge just lately to create a rockery garden. Lol

Just had a look Dawn as don't think you sent this it has a label with a price on lol :-), did remember that you have it though ;-), they do look weird at the root ginger stage lol,the rose you sent 'New Dawn' is doing great this year covered in buds.

It's a lovely p,ant...and I love the name too! dawn...looking forward to your new rockery! ;)

What a shame Kathy, I could have sent you some. Would you like a root Karen? I'm looking forward to seeing your New Dawn in flower :-) I must check mine, I find the climbers seem slower to get going, do you?

Oh Karen, I dont know when I'll start a rockery or even where it will be. I fancy like an outcrop of rock effect but my garden is pretty flat, I'll have to give it some thought.

You could always do a giant turf seat with a rockery as the back....lol...take no notice of me...you know what I'm like! lol

8 Jun, 2013

...wouldn't mind a bit if you've got some going! :)))

It would be a pleasure Karen, would you like to send me a pm with your address :-)

Oh Karen, do you want to come here and work instead of the Castle (hope I got that right). My wild areas are increasing, lol.

Do you know, half of the counties of England are wanting my services.....I need a helicopter. I could be like Chris Beardshaw in that series he did...even better...I could go WITH Chris Beardshaw in that series...lol...mmmmmm....:))))

8 Jun, 2013

Ha ha, or you could be like Anneka Rice in Treasure Hunt, getting out of that helicopter and dashing off.

8 Jun, 2013

I'll be dashing off after Chris Beardshaw Dawn!

8 Jun, 2013

Imagine him in your bed ..... sorry I meant beds, lol.

8 Jun, 2013

Lol! he wouldn't fit...already too crowded! ;)

I thought he was gay until I googled to see he is married with 3 kiddies.

8 Jun, 2013

Darn!...married....typical!......oh, that's right...so am I....darn!

8 Jun, 2013

Wondered what was going on there all these comments lol, you two really !!!!!!, made me laugh :-))), I thought he was gay too Dawn lol.
Yes I find the climbers take a while to Dawn well except 'Albertine' that I bought last year, April time, it didn't flower last year but this year its reached the top of my new arch and his starting to go over the top and has over 40 buds!!!!!

I have to agree....climbers take two years in the ground to get going here. The odd flower first year....better flowering and a lot more growth in the second, and then (hopefully) they take off in year three. My new Graham Thomas didn't flower at all in its first year, and my Alberic Barbier, planted this winter, is tiny...only about 9" so far!

Sorry we ambushed your pic Kathy, lol. I'm so reassured you two have said the rose climbers are slower to get going than the bush varieties, I feel I'm not doing anything wrong now. Yes Karen, 2 years mine seem to be getting going. I must get an Albertine then Kathy :-) I'm so love my roses, I've always avoided them in the past. The shrub ones are loaded with buds.

Had a bit of trouble with my Canary Bird Kathy, it had a bit of die back but its growing well now but I dont think it will flower this year. Cant wait for it to look like yours.
