It is by the fishpond and loves it there, it is better than it has ever been before though, it is really pretty. Thanks Moti. :O)

Very nice plant! I have never seen something like that before. I guess it likes damp places.

yes it does Katarina, all my garden is damp though, we are heavy clay soil so it retains moisture well. One of the good things about clay soil, when everyone elses is drying out mine is still damp underneath. Horrible for digging but good for not having to water very often. lol. :O) thanks for looking in :O)

Yes, that is advantage of clay soil. And you always can make it lighter by adding some partially decomposed compost.

Thanks Annella, it started off with just one little piece and now it is huge, been in a long while though.

I had some in my old garden and used to love it but just grow the shorter ones now :o)

What are the shorter varieties Annella, not seen those, this was a lucky spot, found it at Louth garden centre a few years back, so glad I bought it.

I have Polygonum affine 'Dimity' which is a good ground cover one and Persicaria amplex 'Golden Arrow' that has bright gold/lime leaves Olive :o)
