thank you very much Michaella, I am so looking forward to the roses blooming. The arbour seat has three all in bud two reds and a lemon one. It is looking good for some colour this summer. :O)

Yes indeed, I sometimes look and think I might have over done it a tad lol :O) but not at this time of year, it has really only just got going and it is more at the back end when it is dying down that I think it starts to look scruffy. :O) but for now I love it and look forward to seeing the lovely colours which appear soon. :O)

Overdone it? lol! It is a real challenge getting colour right through from spring to autumn and beyond isn't it...but I don't have the wonderful summer display that you have with all your herbaceous plants. I sacrifice the 'wow' factor so I can have something in flower all the way through, and keep structure in the winter as well. Yours is more of a contrast between winter and summer, but as our winter is so long, I don't think that would work for me. I'd be miserable until about June and after August!!

It certainly is a challenge, been missing for one week and it is going mad out there. lol yep I know what you mean, yours would not be the same if it had all the herbaceous plants as mine does, although originally I did set out to have some colour in the garden throughout the year and I have been successful to a point even if it is only holly through the winter months. lol. think there is only January when it is quite bare before the bulbs start to get going here.
