Jacaranda Tree in Bloom

This gigantic Jacaranda tree is blocked by this big building. The tree spreads over four of the houses' back yards. Photo taken June 3, 2013.

Yes, it is; however, the building most likely has been there as long as the tree...around 80 or 90 years.

As I said, on another of your Jacaranda photos, beautiful - but maybe even if we could grow them here - bit big for an ordinary garden!!

Jacaranda trees can be kept at about 20ft (6m) tall (with pruning). They do grow very quickly to 30 ft (10m); however, can grow to 70ft (22m) tall and almost as wide in time. This tree posted has almost these proportions (which is difficult to see with this three story building in the way).
