Gosh - I don't think I have ever seen a flower so dark - very striking! Love Aquitaine by the way, I like Sarlat which is a lovely town and the views in the area are outstanding.

Is this the one you sent me Tommymoo?, it's grown huge 3 fans now and it had a massive flower spike, could've cried something snapped it off :-(, we do have a lot of cats visit the garden and it is planted quite near a bird table so can only assume thats whats done it grrrrr.
Its gorgeous btw looks almost black!!!!! :-)

Simbad, yes, it's the one I sent to you. (I hope.. One of the irises I was given by the same lady turned out to be white!) So sorry to hear about the flower spike!! We have to wait another year to know the colour :-(

So annoying looking at this I am going to cry now lol, so sorry to have missed it :-(, although I like surprises too so if it turns out to be another colour thats fine too :-)
