A small clump forming cactus from the province of Salta in Argentina.

Wow! A prickly customer!:))My Grandad used to grow cacti in his green house and always told us not to touch the spikes, but of course children never do as they are told do they? I will never forget one sort of cactus had tiny hooks in the spikes and if they got stuck in your finger they were there for ages!!
