The reason I love this plant

Now this is a plant we definitely agree on! I love it...because of the bees, but also because of the architectural form of the leaves which give real structure and height to a border. ;))

I have five big ones of this in my woodland border...they are about 6 feet tall this year. I have a wee one too...which I am going to take to Glamis. We neeeeeeed this up there!

I know they say there is a shortage of bees but definitely not in my garden. I do not think I have ever seen as many different ones, they are amazing I spend ages watching them. Some are really tiny and then there is a huge one with a red rump. Really pretty. Walter has taken to challenging them, I am forever shouting NO! he will learn - it might take a sting or two before he does. He quickly learned the electric fence had a nasty kick. He just looks at it now from a distance, poor dog. lol \;o) sometimes they have to learn the hard way.
