I think that if it gets through it's first winter, it's pretty much bullet-proof, Bik. I only planted it last year and it has really gone for it!
I've got two yellow ones as well, but they don't seem to be as vigorous.

This is a spreader Karen. Glorius when it grows tall like yours so that you can see the inner side of the flowers.

I think I may have to move it next year, SG. It's under my young cherry tree...and already vying with the cherries for air-space! Would it be happy in full, full sun?

It is a South African plant so should be fine in full sun. I have a yellow variety P. 'Candy Drop', it has come through the winter in the shelter of a laburnum tree. It is only 3ft x 3ft (1m x 1m) would probably be a good replacement under the cherry tree.
