Rebutia muscula And The God Of Small Things.

A small back garden devoted to alpines and rockery plants some less than five mm across; a small flat and smaller kitchen, a bay window and two windowsills? And one of my most treasured personal possessions - a 10x magnifier. Do I worship at 'The Altar To The God Of Small Things' or do circumstances permit little else? And now one more diminutive cactus; Rebutia muscula, a dainty little lady hailing from the mountains of Bolivia arrayed in a close-fitting coat of fine needle-sharp silvery spines who invites amorous attentions with attractive bell-like orange flowers offering nectar in Spring and early Summer. For me it was love at first sight although I am no bee. Easy to grow and flower in good light and a dry Winter's rest.
