I planted this out of a 4 inch pot last summer and it has exploded. I planted this on the edge of my first daphne bed, everything growing there looks great this year so I must have done something right

When I put this berm in last year I created it using a mix of topsoil (from broken down horse manure), pea gravel and about 9 cubic feet of peat moss. I was worried it would be too acidic for the daphnes so I did add a little bit of lime too and I think that did the trick. My daphnes have never looked so good. The heathers, dianthus, daphnes and lavender all look very healthy in that berm.

looks lovely, do you harvest the "crop"?
could you try growing it in tubs, Bjs? you could do special soil mix for it, which would be controlled and isolated from outside influence

Yes I do cut and dry the flowers. They do grow well in large clay pots but are more sensitive to over-watering than Rosemary

Thanks for that I am sure I should be able to grow in a container ,the problem for me is how many more containers can I sensibly look after .!
