O yes, actaully you need big pots and good soil, you must fedd them I use granulated food (this year I bought ONE)
but I think I'm gonna buy David Austin's rose food .
In this pic the are not in bloom, but when they are some of them are stunning!
The one on the left is SANS SOUSI it's italian by Barni (look on google) I found than some of the English roses in Italy prefer half shade, Wild Edric last year was in a sunny position it was very green and had many buds, but they were becomig yellow and then falling, so I moved it in a half shade and it exploded with beatiful scented flowers!
