Thank you Michaella, by the way have been out today and bought some more roses, lol, tomorrow is taking more grass out and planting up, if my bones stop aching from digging yesterday. Will post pictures when I have finished.

Oh! Hope your bones feel better for tomorrow :) I would like more roses, but have no more soil space left, I have a few plants in the roses garden which are not roses, glad about the rain at the moment, I may dig them up tomorrow.

I shall plant some smaller ground cover plants underneath the roses as I do not like bare earth. Maybe some very low growing hardy geraniums or an alpine campanula or something similar. Not quite sure yet what would look right, will have to see what it looks like first and then choose.
