Do you think that is what it could be?

I just Googled animal droppings and there were several similar looking,
including Squirrel (maybe),
Hedgehog (surprised if it is),
and Rodents!!!!!!!( hope not, because it would be a rat with that size poo I should think!!)

Just going by google images, it does look like Hedgehogs...and if you've had them in the past.....lets hope it is Shirl! Oliveoil will tell you if it's rats. She keeps poultry, so she'll know for sure!

oh, very nice. I never had much luck with planting potatoes - mind you, I only planted the ones I bought and didnt' eat before they got hairy!

Ha! Fran, we have a row of that sort that seem to be doing well - - time will tell!!

I only have fairly shallow troughs, which may not be enough; and maybe I crowd too many spuds in each. And the squirrels seem to be attarcted to those troughs in particular

So far the first earlies are doing really well & we have had some lovely spuds from them! Just hope the later ones are as good! We planted a lot of potatoes this year because we haven't been having much success with sprouts & cabbages etc in the last couple of years, so decided it would be just as cheap or cheaper (but not so nice!) to buy what we need, when we need it.
Other than pot's we have some runner beans, which are doing very well and salad stuff & tom's in the greenhouse, just starting to ripen.
