The flowers on this honeysuckle are not showy. It's an evergreen and it didn't flower at all last year, so I'm a little disappointed having waited so long to see it. Could't detect any scent either :(

I know....I have another evergreen one in a pot, so if it turns out better...I could swap them.

Do you still have your 'Halliana'?

Nope, that one bit the dust, winter of 2010. It was such a beautiful scent! I do have Sweet Sue though.

It's not doing so well this year. I fear the spot it's planted in is quite compacted. My Rose 'Golden Showers' was rubbish on the arches too. I've taken it out today and replaced with a 'Pilgrim' which is one of my favourites, and when I dug it out, the ground underneath it was very hard.

My one is growing in very poor soil and right up against the fence so it's another 'miracle' in my garden Lol!

I think it was the combo. Of cold plus builders sand plus hard prune that did for mine...but it might have recovered if I'd had more patience!

Our mint crisp is out now and the perfume is divine, pity we are not opening again this year.

I didn't realise there are so many varieties of honeysuckle.
Looks like I've had more than my share of beginner's luck with 'Scentsation'.
