Not sure yet Klahanie. I may move it around and see where is the best place. There is a Clematis I love called triternata Rubromarginata!!

Interesting choice Lulu. But how about mixing it up with something fragrant ....Rosa White Cloud 'Korstacha' comes to mind. Would they look nice together in your mind?

Don't want anything to vigarous.....That Clem smells wonderful although I think the ground is too dry where I've put it at the moment...Think I might have to move it to a better earthy place. But it's so pretty...don't want to cover it at the moment!!

You have a point there and I agree. I did not know that clem is fragrant and besides.... the lovely arch is white.

A few days left in my 40's!!!! Sunday is the day and Saturday...one heck of a party in the garden. All next week will be organising, trying to get the gardening work done before it gets too hot and trying not to worry that the house is a mess and that more and more people keep saying yes to to coming to the party.....and trying not to worry that our car has blown up, the washing machine needed replacing and woe betide my expresso machine has broken too...no kick start to my day!

Just getting out our wedding candles from 5 years ago. Giving then a wee trim. Washing the glass candle vases....cleaning the patio (boy, did it need it!)
Getting ready for a BIG party!!
