It makes a statement Chris, this was new last year. I had to move it a few weeks ago as it was in too much shade. I managed to break of a couple of roots and they seem to be coming away too!

We were about to pop ours into a very shady spot so thanks for mentioning this.

It was coping with the shade Chris and growing fine - I just didn't like the way the flowers were being drawn forward. You can still see them listing a wee bit!

It looks similar to my Red Fanal,Scottish, only a bit more red..Mine are in dappled shade, but the foliage on one side, where some of it catches more sun, have been completely burnt,.so I have had to cut them off...the flowrs are ok though..

It was your Red Fanal that inspired me to buy this Bloomer!
I love your Astilble/Sedum combo - when I was moving this I took the opportunity to pull of a few roots. They are coming on nicely, when I finally get round to doing something with the front garden, I intend to replicate it somehow.

Oh yes,I remember now,Scottish..I still love the combo too..purely coincidental and not planned at all..,,like you,I needed to split the Astilbe, and just bunged it there..often the best way :o)

I can hear your scribbling Mouldy :)

The Glut I planted (had it only grown!) would have been just a mere shade darker than this one.

I take it that it's curled up it's toes and gone Mouldy? If the bits I took of this root I'll send you a bit of this in spring.
