How beautiful and serene it looks.
Ours friends have just returned from Vancouver after visiting their son who moved out there last autumn. They have shown us this very photo (well almost!)

Sheila, we liked the scenery when we first stepped on this property. In that time we had even better view. All the trees you can see on the left side in the picture were very young and small so we had a long view to the narrows. But in 10 years they have doubled in size and we lost that view. Unfortunately, they are not ours but neighbours. The house was for sale not too long ago and I wanted to buy the property and cut those trees down (and resell the house) but my DH was categorically against that. :-( The guy who bought the property is a tree hugger (as is my hubby)...so there you go. It is in the north direction so they protect us from the north winds although, our winds come mainly from west and we are well protected on the west side.

Louisa, if we have to live in Canada, this is where we want to be. We live in the country and it is not for everybody.

Katarina, The picture shows the water little more azzurro than it actually is. Nowhere close to colour of Italian waters ...but we have 5 small marinas within few miles from here so there is usually lots of activity on the water. I call it my "dynamic" view. Of course we have plenty of serene views around as well :-)

PS: I collected your seeds and next time we will go to "town" I will mail it. Probably at end of the week.

Hello Wildrose, I guess the scenery around this part of the world is very similar. Very beautiful (to me) but like everything else ...there are different issues everywhere, one just has to chose which one they can live with.

Thank you very much, Klahanie. I am looking forward to them, just please, write down what position the mother plants had (north, south etc). And I am glad that your husband decided not to cut trees because of view. As a former Greenpeace member I consider this more planet friendly, and definitely they will have their purpose where they stand, too. ;-)

This is lovely. We visited Vancouver and Vancouver Island a number of years ago. It is such a wonderful place.

I agree Linda . . . one of the few unspoilt places left? I'd go back at the drop of a hat :)
