Beautiful, have you seen or tried one called Nicki? Deep purple. I also love the coral phlox. It is an old-fashioned plant here which is coming back. I remember when my mother took me to other people's gardens, they had a lot of phlox...My rabbit has dug up three times my new one!

I love it too.....I have lots. It grows well in Scotland and brings colour later in the year.

couldn't grow it in the city garden..but have two types here. One is pink/purple and the other is a carmine red...gorgeous colours both but they clash. I plan to move the red to the other end of the bed. I like this pretty mauve.

This is a new one for me..looks a great colour. Just dont have the room for more as I have Nicki, Laura, David and Orange Sensation (disappointing this). But there is a new one called Tequila Sunrise which seems very vivid..dont know if its in UK or just US

Back to Phlox. do you think all the phlox have same names in US as in UK? I am assuming yes. But the large and latest in the US is Davidii, unless Fujiyama is new? I love Franz Schubert which is in our catalogs. I think possibly your nurseries carry more variety than ours. Maybe we are more apt to buy from catalogs??? How do you get yours? I am also in love with Bright Eyes.

Sorry Wells, its actually Mt Fujiyama. I googled both David and Davidii and both seem to be known in the US. David is well known here. Bright Eyes is a good variety as is Laura (fairly early bloom for me).
We buy from a variety of places, garden centres, nurseries and ebay we also, like you exchange with friends. Also when we visit National Trust places and stately homes they often have garden centres of plants grown on the estates.
