Apple pear

Apple pear (Pyrus pyrifolia)

I bought this tree few years back and it is doing extremely well for me. It is called apple-pear due to its appearance and texture but the fruit is not a hybrid of the two.

It is loaded with the blooms in the spring Bjs...just beautiful. This particular tree has 4 kinds of apple-pears grafted on it. Lately, they do it a lot to the fruit trees here. I also bought such cherry tree. 3 in 1.

What does the fruit taste like, is it good? Do you cook it, or eat it as it comes?

Feverfew, it tastes somewhere between apple and pear. It is not very sweet but very juicy and crisp. People usually eat it raw. We juice most of them together with the apples. We can get them in supermarket here.... usually wrapped in some "foamy" material..
