Carole , Sandra it's a Mexican plant growing approx 6 ft tall in a clump of many stems depending on it's age ,it has these colourful bracts early in the season followed by yellow sweet pea kind of flowers as late as November ,it need protection from the frost in the winter ...

Aren't you the Exotic one,Amy.?.Lol.Do you bring it under cover in the winter? I can't make my mind up about it,but it would be nice to see a photo of it in all it's glory..

No Sandra it's planted in the garden when it dies down before the frost arrives I cover it with straw and then put a nice hefty container over it until the spring :o) I'll put another photo on later !
