the last few winters have been snowy and great for the garlic, and these ice "swords" hung outside my son's window and caused many conversations about what would happen if they fell off and you were directly under them...

This looks very similar to the roof outside my kitchen door for a couple of years. But since we've had the roof and guttering fixed it doesn't happen any more. I love to see ice 'swords'. For me they have a sort of fairy tale quality.
