Very nice, indeed.

Thankyou. The grey path bit is that inter locking plastic type stuff that people put down to park cars on. I bought it for a few £'s from the football ground across the road. They had torn it up when they tarmaced. It was very light for me to carry over & with a bit of fiddling around I got it as I wanted. The edges were soon covered over with alpine types. The ground underneath is full of the roots of C. Leylandii so it was the best thing to do with the area & it now makes a bit of a feature.

Love this area , you have done a grand job [ do you take your Phorminum inside for the winter, I have one in a pot outside at the moment but not sure if I can leave it out there;0))

I brought it in last winter, PP. I don't have a greenhouse so I had to put it inside my back door. It is Cordyline australis according to the label. Now I have 2big pots of scented geraniums to keep during the winter, so goodness knows
where they are going to go! I have sown Lupins, Pink Fairy, all up now but I don't know whether they'll be ok in a cold frame. What do you think?

I have a clump of lupins and usually put straw over the top of them, they have managed to survive, good luck anyway, think I may have to find room inside for the Cordyline [thanks for the ID,];0(

These are seedlings , just come up & only an inch tall at present, so I won't be able to dump straw over them. They'll take their chance in the frame & I'll cover it at night in the frosty weather. Mature Lupins always come through winter ok, but of course that's down here in Surrey. Sorry I missed your comment & therefore late replying.
