you could well be right Sid, i bought this as a bare root in a bumpa shade lovers pack from wilko's it was labelled as 'Mediovariegata' but you cant always rely on lables on bare root plants can you.

Hostas I find are particularly likely to be wrongly labled, honestly I think people make up the names half the time. I've got one I bought as 'Aureomarginata', but I've seen lots just like it named all sorts of things and ones with the same name that look totally different!! tut.

lol i think a lot of things can variey anyway, depending on grower and wholesaler, sometimes they have there own name for things anyway don't they! i know this is particually true with cut flowers, speaking as a florist. we get or sorts of names come in for things and i know damn well what they are really called! some from holland - defo make it up as they go along! some from jeresy and some english grown, all the same but with different names! still never mind, think it is a pretty hosta what ever its called!
