Grown from seeds Holly?

Yes, it was one from the seed mix I had this year, there were white and pink cosmos in it...

Have these grown quite tall Holly? I have some that are stupidly tall - but don't have the heart to uproot them!

No they arnt to tall.... :)

That's good then - the heavy downpours today have made many plants flop - :o((

My fave colour for Cosmos Holly, I'm going to have White next year. Mine are really tall Shirley and very few flowers this year, haven't done very well at all.

Janey ... mine are Cosmos 'Purity' - just found the seed packet and height is 3ft so I shouldn't be complaining really! I have also found that three buds seem to form on each stem, and it's always the centre flower that goes to seed first, making it tricky to dead-head. I wonder why yours haven't done too well this year .....

I think it's been lack of light Shirley, there's a tree, a Robinia that has really leafed up this year with all the rain early on and is hiding the sun from them. I'm going to organise the tree men to come and prune it down also my silver birch which is growing forever heavenwards....
